“I knew this was the boat that I wanted for many years and they were not building new ones anymore. I waited till the right opportunity came up for a used one that was still in good condition.”

About fishing
Do you fish commercially or for pleasure?
I provide fishing charters for pleasure and also have licenses for commercial fishing, which I do on my own sometimes.
Who first introduced you to boating?
My father.
What’s your favorite game fish (and/or season)?
I don’t have a favorite fish to catch. I enjoy catering to my clients and customize each trip based on what the clients are looking to do and whether they just want to catch the most fish, or if they want to target a specific species.
What’s your advice for less experienced anglers?
Reading tips and watching videos are great ways to learn, but nothing beats experiencing the action diets hand.
Do you have any other notable resources you use (apps, devices, etc)?
YouTube is great for learning fishing techniques, knots, and other information that will make you a better angler.
Any recent fishing/boating-related purchase you’ve been enjoying?
I purchased a new 300 horsepower engine last year.
About the Boat
What kind of boat do you own and why did you choose to buy it?
It’s a 26’ Goldline. These boats were originally made in Lake Worth Florida for charter and commercial fishermen.
What other kinds of boats did you consider before buying this model?
None. I knew this was the boat that I wanted for many years and they were not building new ones anymore. I waited till the right opportunity came up for a used one that was still in good condition.
How did you come to find/locate her before purchasing?
I searched boat trader, Craig’s list, and anywhere else that sold used boats. This one was in Key West and I drove there with a trailer to pick it up.
What boats have you previously owned?
A 17’ Aquasport, a 19’ Riviera, and a 17’ Seastrike.
What are the features you like most about your boat?
It has a very wide beam at 10’, it’s a center console which allows you to make the most use of the space for fishing and it has a very solid hull.
What features/improvements have you added, or do you plan to add?
I have added all of the electronics, many rod holders, and a new engine in 2020.
How do you typically use your boat over the summer, and where do you go?
I do charters here in Palm Beach Florida, and take my family and friends out when not working.
What is the biggest challenge you have in servicing your boat?
I don’t have a trailer so I need to schedule with the company I use and make sure they have a trailer available to haul the boat out.
What’s the story behind the boat’s name?
I just needed a name, and came up with it on the fly.
