About the boat
Why did you choose to buy this particular boat and what else did you consider?
We considered a range of boats but settled on the Beneteau 46.1 for its combination of comfort and performance.
What boats have you previously owned?
We owned a Beneteau First 35s5 for 20 years prior to the new one.
What are the features you like most about your boat?
We love the large cockpit, the light and roomy interior, and the sailing performance.
Where all have you and your boat traveled/Do you have any plans?
We’ve been mainly focused on cape cod and downeast sailing this summer in preparation for a winter in the Caribbean.
What features/improvements have you added or do you plan to add?
We’ve added solar, lithium banks, water maker, AIS, Radar and alcohol. 🙂
Do you belong to a yacht club or other boating organizations?
No.
What is the biggest challenge you have in servicing your boat?
The size of the boat isn’t compatible with local marinas.
Who first introduced you to boating?
My best buddies Uncle and the block island race.
What’s the story behind the boat’s name?
It’s my wife’s nickname.
Any recent boating-related purchase you’ve been enjoying (e.g. product/tool/equipment etc)?
