1985 Hatteras 53 Extended Deck (ED) Motor Yacht

The entire exterior was repainted by Composite Yachts in Maryland in 2012. Some flooring was replaced with teak and holly and the wall coverings are beautiful textured coverings with matching upholstery. The boat has been well cared for by a knowledgeable yacht maintenance company.

The Hatteras 53 ED is a bigger and better version than the Hatteras 53 motor yacht which challenged the popular motor yacht shortly after its introduction in 1983. A sturdy and well-built yacht, the 53 EDs floor plan features a full width main salon with an inside bridge access ladder. An electric partition separates the pilot house from the salon for added privacy. The expanded salon dimensions create a huge entertainment area for a 53-foot boat (174 square feet). The aft deck is an open deck with plenty of room for a table, chairs, and the popular BBQ grill as well as ease of line handling. The lower deck floor plan of the 53 ED remains unchanged from the 53 MY with 3 staterooms and 3 heads, separate engine rooms, and massive galley and dinette area. Topside the flybridge is greatly enlarged from the Hatteras 53 motor yacht and features a large helm area and aft room for the dingy davit and dingy chocks. Additional improved features include a swim platform, molded bow seats, large bow pulpit and wide side decks.

ALWAYS LATE has been extensively upgraded in the past with teak and holly flooring, granite countertops, wall coverings, galley appliances and soft goods. Cared for by her knowledgeable owner, she is an excellent motor yacht and will surely please the most discriminating Hatteras 53 ED buyer.
